Miguel Ángel Cáceres is a Spanish illustrator, photographer and comic artist.
In Spain his comics and illustrations have been published in a lot of books and comic magazines. We can emphasize his works realized for several Spanish publishers: Planeta DeAgostini (in comic magazines: ‘Savage Sword of Conan’, ‘Savage Tales’ and ‘Conan the Barbarian’), Megamultimedia (Trece), Proyectos Editoriales Crom (’Bram the yacoi’, ‘Simeon Orgago’, ‘Semper Fidelis’, ‘Fight and Conquest’, ‘Dark Echelons’...) DeTebeos (’Enano Marciano’, ‘Nauhka the heretic’), Oxford University Press (’Mikado’, ‘Spirale’...) and Apache Books (’Anatomy of Chaos’).
Founding member of the collective Ediciones Canallas, which publishes the magazine KILLER TOONS.
His works have been published in other countries: U.S.A. (by Findlay Comic Press, Variance Press and CounterActive Comics), Canada (Arcana Comics), Mexico (Castalida) and Ireland (Maron Pictures Studios). He has been a member of the team of artists of Atlantis Studios in U.S.A. making covers, concept art and comic book series (’Kid Victory’, ‘Varuk’...).
For several years he has been working for Maron International Pictures (Los Angeles) drawing the graphic novels that adapt Mark Mahon's cinematographic scripts (’Freedom within the heart’, ‘Ireland and the Sultan’...).
His graphic novel ‘Freedom Within The Heart’ has obtained two awards at 2016 Readers’ Favorite International Book Award Contest: ‘2016 ILLUSTRATION AWARD’ and ‘2016 SILVER AWARD’ in the category of Graphic Novel/Comic.
His graphic novel ANATOMÍA DEL CAOS has obtained the IGNOTUS AWARD to the best comic in 2018.
His graphic novel THE BLACK GOSPEL created in collaboration with Manuel Amaro and Dr. Zonum won the IMAGINAMALAGA 2005 AWARD for the best comic at the MÁLAGA INTERNATIONAL COMIC CONVENTION.
